Staff Qualifications

At Little Scholars, we maintain the highest standards for our teaching staff to ensure quality care and education for your children. Our Lead Teachers meet or exceed all DCFS licensing requirements.

Lead Teacher Requirements

Minimum age of 19 years
High school diploma or GED
Either:
- 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university (including 6 semester hours in Early Childhood Education courses)
- OR 1 year of hands-on child development experience (1,560 hours) in a licensed daycare facility plus 30 semester hours from an accredited college (including 6 semester hours in Early Childhood Education)
